Toy Story Hotel Shanghai, is the theme of 'it' based on Disney? The Pixar Movie Toy Story. Its design also incorporates elements widely recognized by Chinese consumers. The appearance of the hotel is similar to the number 8 and the 'infinite' symbol. The number 8 symbolizes good luck in China, and the cloud pattern on the exterior wall of the hotel also contains the auspicious meaning of 'auspicious cloud'.
'It' is composed of woody cowboy wing and bath Lightyear wing. When viewed from the air, it forms a symbol representing infinity, which reminds people of bath Lightyear's famous saying full of courage and dream: 'flying into space, the universe is infinite!'. In the open-air 'Woody cowboy garden', there is a bigger 'Woody' than a real person, riding on his horse Hongxin, while in the 'bath Lightyear garden', there is a super large 'bath Lightyear' welcoming guests. The hotel also has a wide range of facilities, including a counter restaurant, a water playing area featuring toy rockets and space aliens, and a gift shop inspired by the bear hugging character in Toy Story 3.
The 'sunshine food collection' named after the kindergarten in Toy Story 3 will be a good place for guests to eat. While tasting the delicious food, the guests will be surprised to find that the Chinese kite with the theme of 'Toy Story' animation star is flying overhead. The inspiration of these kites comes from the traditional kite making technology of Weifang, Shandong Province, the hometown of famous kites in China.
